Ella's First Picture with Santa!!

I don't know why I was so nervous about trying to get her to sit on Santa's lap....she loves strangers!!! Last week I was in Circuit City and she kept reaching for a strange man behind me in the check-out line. He was like, "I don't think your mommy would like it if I held you." I was like, "Um....no, she would not." I fear that her love of strangers will be a problem for us one of these days.

Help!!!

I was working on my laptop at the kitchen table earlier this evening and David starting laughing. He told me to look up (or down!) and when I did I saw Ella trying to get out from underneath her changing table! He had put her on the floor to play, but instead of crawling forward she scooted herself into a place she couldn't get out of.

She was quite irritated at first.....



....but once we started laughing she thought it was a game and started laughing too. It was really cute!

My Little Jail Bird

My precious one did NOT want to take her morning nap today and cried for a very long time after I shut the door. I went in to check on her a little while later and she just looked so cute with her leg hanging out of the crib....I couldn't resist.

Baby on the go.....

Yep - last weekend while we were in Abilene for my sister's graduation, Ella decided that she wanted to "wow" everyone and started crawling! She is still trying to figure some things out, but she's doing really good for the most part. Here are some pics I took of her earlier this morning in her pajamas. They kind of got in the way once her legs got going!

Life has been really crazy around the Crandall house the past few weeks so I haven't been posting very much. However, below are a few cute pictures from this past weekend.

Uncle Chris babysitting Ella....they are sitting in an over-sized chair so he put the cushion up to keep her from moving. If you look closely you can see her tiny head peaking up over the side. Love it.

Life Group Christmas Party 2007

I just wanted to brag on my sweet husband for a bit. :) We volunteered to host our Life Group Christmas Party at our house this year so David made pumpkin and gingerbread waffles for everyone! I made a breakfast quiche that wasn't quite as impressive, but overall, everyone had a blast and left full and happy.

We moved the furniture out of our living room and then made a long seating area by lining up our dining room table and 3 card tables (that we borrowed from my grandparents) so that we would have a place for everyone to sit. It turned out really nice and the table was all decked out with garland, candles and Christmas lights.


This was the end of the table that was closest to our Christmas tree and the fire place. After everyone ate, we played a few games of Bingo and then called it a morning!

Well, I scanned one of her Christmas pictures in so that you can see how good she did at the portrait studio, but the coloring looks really bad so sorry about that!!

Another baby in the family!

Don't get all excited.....Baby Crandall # 2 is definitely NOT in the works at this moment in time, but David did surprise me with an early Christmas present the other night and his name is Samson. He is a 4 month old Retriever Mix (like Toby) and he is just super cute and cuddly. Toby has been in heaven ever since we brought Samson home. They are now best friends!
