Important Baby #2 Announcement

We went to the doctor yesterday for the weekly checkup.  Due to the abnormal pain that Kaylane is in, if Baby #2 has not yet arrived by October 2nd, we will be inducing.  (I keep saying Baby #2 because we really have not picked out a name; we're waiting until we see her first.)  

Please be praying for Kaylane and Baby #2 during the next 2 weeks.  Kaylane has been in a lot of pain due to her pelvis and tail bone shifting into each other and constantly being at war (i.e. pinching muscles, numb legs, sore bottoms, etc).  She deals with pain better than anyone I know...I promise you, I would not be so spectacular.  Thankfully, the baby looks good and there is no indication that anything is wrong with her.  

My plan right now is to bring the camera and laptop to the hospital so we can take pictures of the process...and post if we want to.  The only pictures I'm talking about are the waiting period and afterwards when the baby is here; there will be absolutely no pictures of the delivery itself so no worries for those of you who don't want to see that.  (Child birth is a beautiful thing...but not really visually beautiful.)

We are very excited about this and can't wait to meet our second daughter.  Thank you in advance for all your prayers!  

Photo Shoot Results

Let me first say a HUGE thank you to our dear friend, Angela Faris, for her patience with us last Saturday! Angela is an amazing photographer and she graciously agreed to take some family shots of us before Baby #2 arrives. Unfortunately, Ella is 16 months old and we quickly learned that she is not at the ideal age for trying to get "posed" family pictures!

Everybody was all dressed up yesterday for our photo shoot with a friend. I couldn't help but grab the camera and take a few shots myself when we got back home.

PS - These pictures are probably gigantic when you click on them...which means they'll be nice and clear when you print them out, Grandmas...or anyone else who wants to print them out. :) The first one looks really cool in full size!

15 Month Old Stats

As if this will come as a surprise to anyone, Ella is off the charts in the height category! Her doctor said that she is doing great and that we are doing a great job as parents. Duh!!! :)

Weight: 23 lbs and 7 oz (50-75%)
Height: 33 inches (100%)
Head: 18 (25-50%)

Her head circumference did not change so David jokingly asked her doctor if we should be concerned about having a tall child with a small head. She said not to worry about it. :)


We're getting closer to keeping all of her hair in a ponytail. I can't wait!!

Baby #2 Update - My next appointment is Thursday and we'll get to see her one more time on film before meeting her in person!!! 6 weeks and counting!!!!!!!

Pretty

Well, after a year and a half, I finally updated the look of our site. I really should have given up on this hours ago and gone to bed, but you know how it is once you start something and can't stop until you figure it out. The graphics are a combination of a few things I found on the web...and the layout was what I have been tweaking the past (I refuse to say how many) hours.

I love it though. I'm happy.

We're coming up on week 33 and I couldn't be happier. I never wanted to be seen as the "cranky/complaining pregnant woman," but I am SO over being pregnant.

I am ready to meet her, hold her, kiss her and NAME HER!!! :)

Swimming with the Cousins

We went to a cousin's swim date a few weeks ago (yes, I've been bad about blogging lately so these pics are a few weeks old) and Ella wasn't quite as excited about the pool as Ava and the rest of the kiddos were. David got in with her, but she had more fun running around the pool and eating! That's my girl! :)

Quick Baby #2 Update: I praise God every single day that she is healthy and growing on track, but if the next two months don't pass quickly, I might die!!!! :) I am ready to be done. VERY READY. It's 106 degrees outside and I am cranky. My next appointment is this coming Thursday so I'll let you know if there is anything exciting to share.
